Alex Brown - 4 September 2024

At the recent Fall American Chemical Society (ACS) Meeting in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Hall was presented with an ACS Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award, which "recognizes and encourages excellence in organic chemistry.” The award consists of $5,000, a certificate, and a $40,000 unrestricted research grant to be assigned by the recipient to any university or non-profit institution. As part of the Award, Dennis delivered an award lecture in the Arthur C. Cope Symposium, at which the certificate was presented.  The citation for Dr. Hall’s award reads: "For influential studies on the fundamental properties and reactivity of organoboronic acid derivatives and on the multiple applications of these derivatives in catalysis, stereocontrolled synthesis, and chemical biology.”

Congratulations Dr. Hall on this well-deserved recognition!
