The idea is simple. The task is enormous. The cost is crippling. Language itself is against us. Alice Birch's wildly theatrical explosion of vignettes teems with bold manifestos, searing humour and drastic acts of defiance. A host of unnamed characters tackle every aspect of contemporary womanhood, amplifying countless exhausted sighs into a punk rock scream of rage. Revolutionize the world - but how?
