You're invited to the VASA (Visual Arts Student Association) Annual Art Auction! In every part of the art making process, there is care and intention, whether in the hours of work or the careful choice of materials. This labor can often be missed or overlooked in the sea of mass produced art objects. The rise of same day shipping has exacerbated this, fundamentally changing our relationship with art. In this auction, we invite you to see the work of young artists, to support art being made within your own community and to appreciate the entire process from sketch to packaging. Join us as we implore you; the collector, the viewer, the friends and family of artists, to handle our work with care.

    Connections, a new exhibit at the Royal Alberta Museum, brings the scientific and artistic together. Developed by researchers at the University of Alberta's Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute, the exhibit highlights the brain through scientific images and works created by artists drawing from their own experiences with mental health disorders and brain diseases.
