Here are today's updates for the U of A community:
Enforcement of Public Health Orders
The Government of Alberta has announced that as part of their effort to protect the health and safety of Albertans, law enforcement agencies have been granted full authority to enforce public health orders and issue fines.
Learn more by visiting the Government of Alberta website.
University Health Centre Still Open
Hours of operation are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
For those in need of non-COVID-19 medical assistance, the University Health Centre is still available to help U of A students and staff. To comply with the College of Physicians and Surgeons' recent guidelines, the centre has moved to virtual care (via phone calls) and is not accepting in-person walk-in visits.
Sign-up online to receive a phone call from one of our physicians.
Info for Researchers
To assist our research community, the Research Ethics Office has added new information and recommendations to the Researchers page.
Reporting Maintenance Issues
Now that there are fewer people on campus, more than ever, we need your help to report campus maintenance, cleaning, or accessibility issues to the maintenance desk. Please call 780-492-4833 if you have any maintenance issues to report.
Use Zero Waste Stations
Help eliminate the risk of contamination by sorting your recyclables and waste. If you are on campus and need to recycle (organics, plastics) or empty garbage (in offices or kitchens), please use the Zero Waste Stations in your area.
Access to Computer Labs
Beginning March 26, Cameron Library will be the only space available to access a computer lab on North Campus. This will include the computers on the first floor of the library and the lower level i.e. the Study Hall (Cameron B05) and Knowledge Commons (Cameron B14). No other computer labs will be open.
Guests and Gathering Limits in Residence
For the safety of our residents, guests are no longer permitted in University of Alberta residence buildings. Gatherings within residences are limited to five people, except in the dining halls.
