Programs
The undergraduate chemistry programs at the University of Alberta are designed to provide a broad background in the theory and practice of chemistry.
For the high school graduate, there are three chemistry programs in the Faculty of Science, all of them a minimum of four years long. Students in the BSc Honors program must take an equivalent of eight single-term courses between September and April each year. Students in the BSc Specialization program and with concentration in chemistry may take fewer courses, but a minimum of three courses per term is required to maintain full-time status.
