Rachel Mandel Scholarship in Lymphoma and Other Blood Cancers

In memory of Dr. Rachel Mandel, this scholarship will be awarded to a graduate student pursuing an innovative research project that strives to generate new ideas about the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of lymphoma or other blood cancers. 

Eligibility: 
  • The student must be conducting research on lymphoma or other blood cancers 
  • The award does not limit an applicant’s field of study; work in blood cancers could touch on areas as diverse as oncology, hematology, pathology, pharmacology, genetics or molecular imaging 
  • MSc students beyond their 1st year and PhD students beyond their 5th year (as of September 2024) are not eligible (excluding official leaves of absence)
  • Student and supervisor must be members of CRINA 
  • Student must not be on academic probation
  • Student must be in a thesis based program
  • Award can be held with other awards as long as the total amount of awards does not exceed $30,000 per year (MSc students) or $40,000 per year (PhD students)

Value & Duration: 
$20,000 per year for two years
