International Conference - Oral History in Wartime: Academic Knowledge and Researcher's Responsibility

The Ukrainian Oral History Association is pleased to announce the upcoming international conference, "Oral History in Wartime: Academic Knowledge and Researcher's Responsibility."

From 13-15 June 2024, oral historians and memory researchers will convene in Uzhhorod, Ukraine to discuss matters of ethics, professionalism, and scholarly integrity when conducting oral history research during war.

A highlight of the conference will be the keynote address from venerated historian and public intellectual Alessandro Portelli, Professor Emeritus of the Università di Roma “La Sapienza.” Dr. Portelli's talk, along with other conference panels, will be accessible online via the conference website.
