Harvey Krahn is Professor Emeritus (Sociology) at the University of Alberta. His research has focused on changing workplaces and labour markets, life course transitions, educational attainment and outcomes, immigrants' experiences in the educational system and the labour market, political and environmental attitudes and, sometimes, criminological topics, including current collaboration with CCRI members on a survey of police officers' exposure to opioid drugs.
