Business Fundamentals
Looking to build or brush up on your business knowledge ahead of the MBA program? One option we would recommend is the GMAC Business Fundamentals Primer. Made up of three sections (Finance, Accounting, Statistics), this online course is designed to help you learn key concepts ahead of starting the MBA program. This is not a requirement to begin the program, but certainly something to consider if you want to get a head start.
MBA Orientation
Orientation is designed to introduce you to the MBA program, the various services available to you as a student, and to prepare you for success. It's a great opportunity to meet your peers and start building your network. Attending orientation and completing the activities is a requirement of your degree. If you have any planned absences, please communicate them to MBAACD@ualberta.ca.
MBA Buddy Program
Join the MBA Buddy Program as an incoming student to be introduced to a current student through a matching program! Your Buddy can help introduce you to the school and will be happy to connect if you would like to ask any questions about student life, academics and student groups, clubs and ways to stay involved!
MBAA Rockies Trip
The MBAA is excited to present the annual MBA Rockies Retreat from September 6-8, 2024. This trip serves as a memorable opportunity to connect with your MBA cohort and make new friends while exploring Alberta’s breathtaking landscapes. This weekend getaway features visits to Drumheller’s Royal Tyrrell Museum, a gondola ride and buffet lunch at Lake Louise, and the option to visit the Banff Hot Springs. It’s the perfect chance to bond with fellow students and create lasting friendships!
