UAlberta business research benefits from $780,000 in funding
17 June 2020
Five Alberta School of Business faculty members have been awarded research grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) totalling $780,636. An additional six faculty members contributed to funded projects as co-applicants. In total, nine different research projects were recognized by the federal granting agencies.
“As a research-intensive business school committed to competing at the highest levels globally, I am proud to see so many of our faculty members recognized for their scholarship,’ said Dean Joseph Doucet. “The range of funded research projects demonstrates the breadth of thought leadership within the Alberta School of Business.”
SSHRC and NSERC are federal agencies that promote and support university-based research and training in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and engineering. Grants from these agencies are the primary source of research funding at the Alberta School of Business. They allow faculty members to conduct innovative research in all areas of business, which results in a dynamic and engaging learning environment for business students.
