Elizabeth is graduating this Spring with a BFA in Stage Management, and showed immense resilience in the face of massive global, community, and personal-scale challenges during her degree. Elizabeth's creativity and undoubted spirit shine through in all aspects of her work, and we'll be on the lookout to see what kind of productions Elizabeth will be a part of in the future.
Did you overcome any struggles to get to University? If so, please describe as much as you are comfortable.
Menta Health struggles, an incredibly difficult application and interview process leading to a competitive admission rate.
Did you face any adversity while attending University? Please describe and explain how you overcame the adversity.
Coming out as trans, the pandemic affecting my practicums and in-person learning, and then the most difficult theatre season the university has seen just to name a few.
What are some of the best things you learned during your time here?
How to stand up for myself and colleagues, what it means to really be a leader, and how to translate stories into large productions.
Do you have any advice to share with new or prospective students?
Find your people, and fight like hell for what you believe in.
What are your plans for the future?
I have a show going up this summer in Edmonton, and then in the winter I'm flying out to Victoria, BC to work with Renaltta Arluk for 2 months.
