Selene Huff: Formed

Selene Huff: Formed

September 1 - 25, 2020
FAB Gallery
Admission is free and by appointment only. Please see Ticket Information for details.

Formed is a series of sculptures that explore the process of translating a formal system of composition into a moving meditation. The sculptures are reflections on how Selene Huff's body moves through space and interacts with other physical entities.

Her process of making is guided by formal principles based on human themes of existence. Through the process of abstraction and simplification, individual details become lost or distorted, allowing space for the viewer to connect to the work or through the act of superimposing their own meaningful experiences over the traces that she has left behind.

This is the final visual presentation for the degree of Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture.
