Academic Requirements for Native Studies Minor students
General Requirements and Information
- For a minor in Native Studies, students must complete the following:
- 9 units in NS 300- or 400-level
- a minimum of 15 units at the senior level are required for this minor
Required Courses
- 6 units from your choices of:
- NS 110 - Historical Perspectives in Indigenous Studies (previously NS 210)
- NS 111 - Contemporary Perspectives in Indigenous Studies (previously NS 211)
- NS 200 - Indigenous | Canada: Looking Forward/Looking Back
- NS 240 - Introduction to Indigenous Legal Issues
Additional Notes
- One cross-listed course from Bachelor of Arts in Native Studies (BA NS) may be selected
