Bachelor of Arts Honors in Modern Languages and Cultural Studies (MLCS) Degree Program Guide
The BA Honors Program in Modern Languages and Cultural Studies is a degree of specialization. It offers exceptional students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of their area of major study and to make this knowledge their own through the completion of a faculty-guided Honors Essay in their final year. If you’re interested in graduate studies, working closely with faculty members, and delving deeper into your undergraduate studies, this is the right program for you.
Modern Languages and Cultural Studies (MLCS) is the study of languages, cultures, texts, and contexts. How do I say "welcome" in Arabic, Italian, or Swedish? How do the arts reflect cultural traditions? How can we better communicate across borders? What does language say about our changing society? Find answers to these questions and many more as an MLCS student. Gain a rich and immersive educational experience that combines language proficiency with cultural insight. This program will equip you with the skills and knowledge to thrive in an interconnected world.
