Research interests
- As a teacher educator and researcher in the field of teaching English as a second or additional language, I am concerned with ways to improve the teaching, learning, and assessment of English language learners.
- My main research interests include teacher learning and development; second language learning, listening, and reading strategies; and second language reading and assessment.

- Developing an Interpretive Argument to Guide the Use of Portfolio-based Language Assessment in Beginning Adult English Language Literacy Classes. Principal Investigator with Dr. Kent Lee, Co-investigator.
