The University of Alberta is aware of the current processing delays for Alberta student loan funding. Any Alberta student loan received after the fee payment deadline will be reviewed to ensure the student is not negatively impacted. Scholarships + Awards
Undergraduate
Over $40 million in scholarships and awards is administered annually to current domestic and international undergraduate students, based on academics, leadership, equity and financial need. The application for awards for the 2024/25 academic year is now open.
Graduate
There are a wide array of awards, scholarships and prizes to assist in funding your graduate studies. The Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) administers $29 million in scholarships and awards annually.

Indigenous Students’ Support Fund
Funding available for Indigenous students who may be experiencing an immediate financial crisis. Indigenous students can apply for this in addition to the Domestic Supplementary Bursary.
